Following the debut of our APC9 platform, we received numerous requests for a larger-framed version chambered in the widely used 5.56 NATO cartridge. In response, we developed the APC223/556, incorporating all the features and benefits of the APC9 to create a state-of-the-art, fully ambidextrous rifle. The APC223/556 utilizes a piston operating system optimized for use with a suppressor, featuring an adjustable gas valve that allows tuning as the weapon becomes fouled from heavy firing schedules or prolonged suppressor use. This piston design enhances reliability in adverse conditions and reduces the amount of gas trapped within the system. Any remaining gas is expelled forward of the shooter, making the platform more comfortable and healthier to shoot when suppressed.
