SPC9

Feature-Rich Platform

The SPC9 is a customer-driven, hybrid design affectionately referred to as the "Frankengun" due to its incorporation of features from various weapon systems around the world. A European police agency required a 9mm carbine with AR-like handling and ergonomics for cost-effective training—the 9mm round is less expensive than .300 AAC and 5.56 ammunition, and their shooting range was only rated for pistol calibers. The SPC9 provides a 9mm training option with unique features not found on other platforms:

• Barrel Construction: A cold hammer-forged barrel delivers outstanding accuracy, with test models producing groups within 50mm at 30 meters using match-grade 9mm ammo.
• European Safety System: The trigger system allows the weapon to be placed on safe with the hammer forward and during manipulation, unlike the classic AR system where the safety cannot be engaged unless the hammer is cocked. Being "on safe" at all times enhances operational safety.
• Two-Stage Trigger: Offers a smoother and more controlled trigger pull compared to the more common single-stage systems.
• Hydraulic Buffer System: Pioneered by B&T on SMG and PCC platforms, this system significantly reduces felt recoil, greatly enhancing shooter comfort and control.

Additionally, the SPC9 is EU compliant, with an overall minimum length of 626mm—exceeding the 600mm requirement. It can also be delivered with a 10-round magazine to comply with the Firearms Directive (EU) 2017/853 published on 17 May 2017. The SPC9 is produced only in a semi-automatic version; a select-fire version is not available.
