In 2011, B&T began work on a modernized H&K MP5 replacement, for while the MP5 has enjoyed a tremendous legacy, the platform is simply no longer compatible with the modern needs of its end users. Those needs include an updated manual of arms, improved shooter ergonomics, the ability to accept mission-critical electro-optics and, most importantly, modularity.
Our APC9K PRO was designed from the ground up to carefully fill each of these voids, while also improving part longevity and ease of replacement. We included fully ambidextrous controls and the use of a hydraulic buffer system to better mitigate recoil, and we created a suite of platform-specific accessories that encompass a variety of caliber-/magazine-specific lowers, such as the APC9K PRO’s compatibility with standard B&T and GLOCK 9mm receivers.
