In 2011, B&T began work on a modernized H&K MP5 replacement, for while the MP5 has enjoyed a tremendous legacy, the platform is simply no longer compatible with the modern needs of its end users. Those needs include an updated manual of arms, improved shooter ergonomics, the ability to accept mission-critical electro-optics and, most importantly, modularity.

Our APC9 PRO was designed from the ground up to carefully fill each of these voids, while also improving part longevity and ease of replacement. We included fully ambidextrous controls and the use of a hydraulic buffer system to better mitigate recoil, and we created a suite of platform-specific accessories that encompass a variety of caliber-/magazine-specific lowers. This variant is equipped with a GLOCK 9mm lower and is also compatible with standard B&T, GLOCK, and SIG SAUER P230 9mm receivers.

With these modern features and the resulting superior shooting experience, the APC9 PRO and its variants have earned their places among the top SMG/PCCs in the marketplace today and B&T has expanded the line to include a wide array of lowers, short-barreled rifle variants, and availability in 10mm and .45 ACP, in addition to the original 9mm. This model is available with all-over black or Coyote Tan hardware and is equipped with one 33-round magazine, backup sights, cleaning kit, sling, and soft case. A variant with a 4.3-in. barrel is also available.
